Sometimes you notice problems with the drainage system of the washing machine. Without proper washing machine maintenance service, these problems can crop up anytime. There are many reasons why your machine's water is not draining properly. Either the pump has been broken, or there's been some block preventing the water from getting drained.
Whatever might be the reason, washing machine maintenance is essential. During the washing machine maintenance services, the mechanic will check all the parts of the washing machine. If any defects are found, you can fix them as soon as possible.
Check the Condition of the Pump
When you hire a technician, they will check the washing machine's pump first; if you can't hear the pump, it's either blocked or damaged. To check the pump, all the water is first drained out. The mechanics then remove the panel of the machine as well. Unless you call a mechanic, do not try this stunt alone. DIY repair technique can damage the pump, and you might need to replace the same.
Check and Clear up the Blockages
In case you're able to hear the pump, then there's definitely some blockage in the system. Again to identify the same, take out the water from the machine. Check the mouth and insides of the pump filter to make sure that nothing is stuck inside them. Mechanics also takes off the hose pipe to check for blockages. In case you find it, fix it by cleaning the same. However if there's no visible blockages inside the pipe or pump then the mechanics either replace the same or use chemicals to clean off the debris.
The issues might be minor. Sometimes a coin or a foreign object might remain stuck inside the hose pipe, blocking the drainage process. Take help from mechanics to get proper servicing.
